About Find Money
These terms cover the Find Money app and website. References to “we”, “us” or “our” mean Find Money. Find Money is a free tool for reviewing connected investment accounts using information available through SnapTrade, public fund information and choices you save in the app.
What the service does
Find Money displays account information and informational checks about cash, holdings and costs. It does not hold your money or investments, execute trades, transfer money, rebalance accounts or change brokerage instructions. Any investment action you choose happens outside Find Money.
Find Money’s checks are intended as informational tools, not personalized investment, financial, tax or legal advice. The app does not assess whether a particular investment, allocation or action is suitable for you. Its checks do not consider your complete circumstances, including your goals, debts, cash needs, risk tolerance, tax position or other investments. Comparing holdings with a target you enter does not mean we have assessed or approved that target. Use qualified professional advice where you need it.
Your decisions and verification
You decide whether to act on information shown in Find Money. Before acting, verify important figures and product details with your brokerage, fund issuer or other authoritative source. Review relevant costs, risks, restrictions and tax consequences. Brokerage statements and confirmations should be used to verify your actual balances and transactions; Find Money is not a substitute for those records.
Cash may be needed for spending, emergencies or other plans. Small holdings are already invested and are not newly available cash. A fee may be unavoidable, and a lower-fee fund may have different exposures, risks, objectives or other features. A finding is not an instruction to invest cash, sell an investment, switch funds or transfer an account. Investing can result in loss, including loss of principal.
Data quality and limited coverage
Data received from SnapTrade, brokerages, fund issuers and other sources may be delayed, incomplete, incorrectly classified or inaccurate. Information may reflect different dates, currencies and reporting periods. Cached information or older qualified data may remain when a refresh fails or supplies only partial information. Opening the app does not ensure that your brokerage has refreshed its data.
Checks cover only supported accounts, products, records and thresholds. Fund fee, comparison, overlap and performance coverage differ and are limited; Find Money does not search or assess the whole market. A missing finding or an apparently clear result does not mean that your portfolio has no other fees, risks, duplication or issues. Review the dates, source information, assumptions and limitations displayed with each finding.
Fund overlap checks based on published top holdings are incomplete and may understate shared exposure. Published fund performance and benchmark comparisons are not your personal return, a complete ranking, or a prediction of future performance. Historical cash attribution is an estimate from available transactions, not a tracing of individual dollars or proof of missed returns.
Estimates and hypothetical results
Estimated annual fund costs use available fee information and holding values; they are not a complete record of costs actually charged. Reference or fallback fee data may differ from a fund's current published rate. Recorded charges cover the available reporting period and may omit charges not supplied or not identified by a check. Management-cost estimates may use a published product schedule or previously saved answers about a rate or annual amount. They are shown separately from recorded charges where those charges may cover the same cost. Reported tax or withholding charges do not establish a deduction, credit, refund or entitlement. Checks of explicit transaction fees do not estimate an undisclosed currency-conversion spread.
Potential fee differences are estimates, not money recovered or guaranteed savings. Switching costs, commissions, spreads, currency conversion, taxes, restrictions and changes in fund prices or fees can reduce or exceed any apparent benefit. A comparison does not establish that two products are equivalent or that a lower-fee product is appropriate for you.
Future-value illustrations are hypothetical calculations using the stated assumptions, not forecasts. Eligible lower-fee growth illustrations use a fixed assumed 6% annual return, invest the same estimated annual fee difference at the end of each year, and show five-, ten- or twenty-year periods, with ten years selected by default. They exclude taxes, inflation and switching costs. A separate illustration for an unverified mutual-fund fee uses example annual rates of 0.5%–2.5% applied to the holding value and multiplied by ten years, without modeled growth. Those example rates are not the fund’s verified fee or a record of actual charges. Actual returns vary and may be negative. No amount of savings, growth, performance or investment outcome is guaranteed. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
Cash, already-invested holdings, recorded charges, annual cost estimates, potential annual fee differences and hypothetical future values represent different things. They should not be added together as money available to withdraw or recover. Amounts in different currencies are not directly comparable without an appropriate conversion.
Third-party services
Account connections depend on SnapTrade and your brokerage. Third-party services have their own terms, privacy practices and operating limitations. A reference or link to a brokerage, issuer, fund or other service is not an endorsement or a guarantee of its suitability or performance. We do not control third-party decisions, charges, data or availability. This does not remove our own legal responsibilities, including responsibilities for providers processing information on our behalf.
Your accounts and acceptable use
Only connect accounts you are authorized to access and share with Find Money. Take reasonable steps to protect your sign-in details and devices, enter your own information accurately, and report suspected unauthorized access to hello@usefindmoney.com. Do not send passwords, verification codes, authorization tokens or full account statements.
Do not access another user's information without authority, bypass access controls, introduce malicious software, disrupt the service or use it unlawfully. These responsibilities do not make you automatically liable for every action taken through your account and do not replace our security or privacy obligations.
Free use and availability
Find Money does not currently charge an app subscription or transaction fee. Charges imposed by your brokerage, fund provider or other services are separate.
The service may be unavailable or interrupted by maintenance, technical failures, connectivity problems or changes at a provider. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access, real-time information, a particular refresh time or that every issue will be detected. Find Money is not a continuous portfolio-monitoring or emergency-alert service. Optional calendar reminders must be saved in your chosen calendar; they are not automated email or push alerts from Find Money.
Changes and restrictions
We may make reasonable changes to maintain, secure or improve the service or comply with law. We may temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, unlawful use or a material breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms or personal-information practices remain subject to any notice or consent required by applicable law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights relating to an existing dispute. You may stop using Find Money if you do not accept a change.
Stopping use, revocation and deletion
You can stop using Find Money at any time. Excluding an account from a review, logging out, revoking provider access and deleting an app account are separate actions. Excluding an account changes analysis; information may already have been retrieved. Logging out ends the app session. Neither action revokes authorization or deletes stored information.
Delete account in Settings removes active Find Money account records from the app database, including stored connection tokens, transaction versions, saved choices and targets, review history, reminder preferences, feedback and quote permission. A minimal deletion record—the app account identifier, SnapTrade sign-in identifier when present, and deletion date—remains to block old sessions, requests and stale authorization callbacks. It contains no financial history or connection tokens. Fresh authorization later creates a new empty app account and may retrieve newly authorized brokerage history; it does not restore your previous app preferences.
Deleting app records or stored tokens does not close your SnapTrade or brokerage accounts or revoke the provider's authorization grant. Revoke Find Money's access separately through SnapTrade. Revocation does not automatically erase information Find Money already holds.
Deletion from the active app database does not instantly erase every other copy. Feedback and its separate public-use permission are copied to a private Google Sheet through an hourly synchronization process for review and management. A deleted response’s entire Sheet row, including reviewer notes, is removed at the next successful, complete reconciliation. Removal is asynchronous; a failed or partial source read must not trigger removal. An hourly schedule is not a guarantee of removal within one hour. An older Supabase sign-in record, provider records, hosting logs, messages, version history or backups may remain. Downloaded calendar reminders must be removed through your calendar service. See the Privacy Notice for retention details and contact hello@usefindmoney.com about records outside the Settings deletion flow. These limits do not waive your applicable privacy rights or our legal duties.
Optional feedback
Feedback is optional. The checkbox “You can share this feedback publicly without my name.” is unchecked by default and is not required to use the app or submit feedback. Its choice, exact wording, version and recording time are saved separately. Unchecked answers remain private. Permission does not automatically publish an answer, and proposed quotes need review for identifying or private details. Do not include sensitive information in feedback you agree to make public. Public use remains subject to the permission given and applicable privacy requirements. Contact hello@usefindmoney.com to discuss changing that permission or removing a quotation we control; material already copied by others may not be recoverable from them.
Warranties and liability
Subject to your non-waivable legal rights, Find Money is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude implied warranties or conditions concerning accuracy, completeness, availability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that information will be current or that the service will meet every need. This paragraph does not override any express commitment in these terms or the Privacy Notice, or any warranty, condition or duty that the law does not allow us to exclude.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits and lost investment opportunities arising from use of, or inability to use, Find Money. This exclusion does not apply to fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct or gross negligence by us, or to any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. It does not make a user's independent investment decision a waiver of a claim arising from our own conduct.
Your legal rights and concerns
Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights, applicable privacy rights, or any other right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a provision cannot lawfully be applied, it will not apply to that extent; the remaining provisions continue only to the extent permitted by law.
Questions, suspected errors, complaints and privacy requests can be sent to hello@usefindmoney.com. Describe the issue and relevant dates without including unnecessary financial information or sign-in secrets. Contacting us is optional and is not a condition of bringing a lawful claim or contacting a regulator. It does not shorten or pause any legal deadline. Questions about executing or reversing a brokerage transaction should also be directed to the brokerage, because Find Money cannot perform those actions.
